Coming Soon
Synopsis
It was a stormy night as the elite of India lined up their fancy vehicles in the forecourt of the official residence of the President of India. The imposing four-storied residence had over 340 rooms but today, all eyes were fixed on the Ashoka Hall. It was originally built as the State Ballroom and the assembled guests walked on the polished wooden floor. Many glanced at the ceiling painted in leather that depicted a royal hunting expedition in the center and the scenes of the court life in the corners; surrounded by the 18th century hand carved architectural and a very fine detailed work which was pleasing to the eyes of all those who are fortunate to have had embraced its beauty; as was the case of all the guests who had been invited there tonight.
As all this was going on, we see Marshall Arjan Singh getting ready; paying attention to each and everything as he places his metals of honor on his uniform. Everything needs to be just perfect tonight as it was indeed a special occasion; all the guests proceeded to walk up the steps of the Ashoka Hall; past the six-feet tall soldiers of the President’s Body Guards (PBG) dressed in their traditional ceremonial uniforms and accoutrements that dated back to the 1890’s. The blue and gold girdles; the white buckskin gauntlets; the white breeches and the Napoleon boots with spurs; all looked distinctive indeed. Each soldier had in his hand the special 10-foot long bamboo cavalry lance made especially for the PBG who carried in stirrup lance buckets adorned with the red and white cavalry pennant. The wings of a trained combat parachutist, in gold, adorned the breast of each member of this elite unit and the glittering metals that went along with them. They were all here to honor Air Chief Marshall Arjan Singh.
As he arrives, looking sharp as ever, his eyes were filled with a certain sprinkle and abundant joy, as they did the very first day when he first set foot on the Airforce platform as a young man at the age of 19. The story transitions and we ss a tall, ambitious, passionate and eager young man who was ready to take on the world in the honor of his beloved Country. He was selected to the Empire Pilot training course at RAF Cranwell and since that time we have seen him transition into an epitome of a military leader and truly a grand morale booster of all his fellow officers. Born in the small town of Lyallpur, Punjab; has ventured through the world on various adventures and assignments including flying the Westland Wapiti biplanes in the North-Western Frontier Province, flying against various tribal forces in hurricanes, from leading the Squadron against the Japanese during the Arakan Campaign, flying Close Air Support missions during the crucial Imphal Campaign, assisting the advance of the Allied Forces to Rangoon and obtain triumph over the enemy. We continue on to experience the various triumphs over War II against the Japanese.
The story transitions back and we find the President of India giving a speech on the Marshall’s behalf in the Ashoka Hall. As he continues to share all the heroic and patriotic acts of Arjan Singh, we see Mrs. Singh’s eyes lighting up as she stairs across the table into her husband’s eyes. She can contain all her excitement enclosed within her. She is reminded of how lucky she is to be in company of such a gentleman and is reminded of the day that she fell in love with him as he swept her off her feet. The story transitions as we not only witness but experience all the moments that led to their blossoming amorousness, proposal, wedding and the birth of their very 1st child. As they begin their journey together, we are brought back to the present and Marshall’s eyes are in gaze onto his 3 beautiful children. They are all grown up and so proud of their father that the smiles are bigger than the inner happiness they possess for all his accomplishments.
We finally see Marshall proudly walking up to the platform forwards the President as he gets ready to accept his prestigious award and give his gratifying speech. Air Marshal started off by thanking the president and presenting the most remarkable speech that will go down in history and changing the perception of what it takes to be a dedicated and prestige officer of the Air Force. The film ends as he is honored by the entire nation and the president with a much appreciated salute; a recognition well deserving of an honest and sincere officer of the Country.
